The hardest thing in explaining CrossFit to people is the community aspect. When I started I was like many 45 year old men. I was overweight, out of shape and was on a path that would have led to all kinds of health problems. Three years after starting CrossFit New Albany I was 21st in the world in the CrossFit Open competition and one spot from competing in the Masters CrossFit Games competition in LA. The ONLY way that happened was due to the great community. The support and camaraderie is what makes CrossFit great. My best friends are now people I work out with on a daily basis. I continue to compete at a higher level for my age group and it's the community that keeps me excited and gives me the energy to keep pushing my limits. I have reached a level of fitness I never thought was possible. Thank you CrossFit and thanks to everyone that pushes their own limits with me everyday.
